Pharmatex vaginal suppository is a local contraceptive with a spermicidal effect (destroying the fertilizing ability of spermatozoa). This product significantly reduces the possibility of unwanted pregnancy, but does not eliminate it completely. The effectiveness of the product depends on the correct observance of the instructions for use.
Usage
The usual dose of the product is one vaginal suppository before each sexual intercourse.
Before each sexual intercourse, use a new globule, regardless of the period of the menstrual cycle.
- Remove the suppository from the protective container.
- Approximately 5 minutes before sexual intercourse, insert the globule deep into the vagina (introduction is best done in a lying position). Globules begin to act after 5 minutes, and from this moment they provide contraceptive protection for at least 4 hours.
- With repeated sexual intercourse, it is necessary to introduce a new globule into the vagina.
Composition
Each vaginal suppository contains 18.9 mg of benzalkonium chloride (as benzalkonium chloridi solutio).
Excipients: hyprolose, hard fat (type Witepsol S51).
