Vitamin B12 is one of the vital substances essential for the body. Since this primarily has a large store in the liver, a vitamin B12 deficit often only becomes apparent after several years. The possible causes of an undersupply include certain diseases, the use of special medications, a permanently increased consumption and an insufficient intake through food. Examples of symptoms that indicate a corresponding deficit are poor memory, hair loss and depression.
A vitamin B12 deficiency can only be prevented through a balanced diet, an overall healthy lifestyle and, if necessary, the additional intake of highly concentrated vitamin B12 in the form of dietary supplements.
