Methods of application of natural oils
There are three main ways to use essential oils for health, beauty and good mood. Having carefully read these methods, you will be able to easily include the use of herbal essences in your daily life.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy occurs through inhalation of the substance with the help of the nose. When aromatic properties manifest, the limbic system is involved, which is anatomically close to the olfactory tract. The limbic system consists of the hippocampus (long-term memory), amygdala (emotions), hypothalamus (hormones) and cingulate gyrus (blood pressure, attention and heart rate). Any substances used aromatically affect human emotions and physiology. Roughly speaking, essential oils penetrate into the bloodstream through the inhalation of aromatic particles. There are several options for the implementation of aromatherapy:
Using the diffuser
A diffuser, or is a universal device with which you can purify the air in the room, protect yourself from harmful toxins and just a bad smell. The use of essential oils in the diffuser can affect the mood, soothe, or, conversely, cheer up — all depending on individual needs. Today there is a huge selection of diffusers on the market for any wallet, with any properties and design. It is advisable to carefully study the characteristics and method of use before buying this device.
Direct inhalation
If you do not have a diffuser, you can simply inhale any essential oil by dropping it on the palm of your hand and rubbing it thoroughly. Make a “mask” of your palms, covering your nose and mouth with them, and take a deep breath. Note that some essential oils may have a too pungent smell and irritate the nasal mucosa — in this case, do not bring your hands to your face, but inhale the fragrance by placing your palms a few centimeters from the nose.
Sprays
Another option for aromatherapy may be to dissolve the product in water and use it with a spray gun. You can make sprays for clothes, for bed linen, for the room with your own hands. Moreover, such natural air fresheners do not contain dangerous chemicals, but work no worse, and often better than purchased ones.
