Drink more water

In hot weather, the body needs fluids from the outside more than ever, since high temperature and, as a result, increased sweating contribute to dehydration. Therefore, in hot weather it is necessary to observe a strict drinking regime. The amount of liquid to be consumed per day is calculated based on weight and ambient temperature.

Do not allow edema

We used to think that excessive fluid intake provokes edema, but the process may be the opposite. Some people suffer from increased puffiness in the heat – this is how the body reacts to insufficient water. Special lymphatic drainage exercises will help to get rid of edema. Here are some of them.

  1. Jumping after waking up: we perform 100 jumps on soft knees, this exercise helps to disperse the lymph well.
  2. “Frame”: raise your arms above your head, forming a “frame”, press your neck, hold for 30 seconds, then stretch the lateral neck muscles on both sides with the edge of your palm.
  3. Ear massage: massage the ears for a minute, walking over the entire surface of the auricle.
  4. Scalp massage: with strong finger presses, we go all over the head, after which we grab the hair close to the roots and pull ourselves by the hair.

Do not let sunlight into the room

Air conditioning is an indispensable thing in the heat, but, unfortunately, not everyone has it. However, you can cool the room in other ways. The first thing to do is to limit the flow of sunlight into the apartment.

Stick a sunscreen on the windows or buy special curtains that prevent the active penetration of sunlight.

Moisturize everything around

To make it easier to breathe in the heat, regularly moisten the air in the apartment with a spray gun. Try to spray water every hour. At night, you can wet the sheets with cold water, and during the day, wet a T-shirt or other clothes you are wearing. You can also spray the curtains with water.

If you have an air humidifier, then you need to pour ice water into it and add ice cubes. This method helps cool the room well.

Change your diet

Dishes that we are used to cooking at moderate and low temperatures are not suitable for heat. In such weather, it is recommended to eat more cold dishes. Let there be fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, dairy products on your table. It is better to give up heavy food, as it requires a lot of energy for digestion.

Sunbathe wisely

The main entertainment in this heat is bathing and sunbathing. But in an effort to get a beautiful and even tan, we often forget about safety measures. All this can lead to serious sunburn, which causes great harm to the body. To get browned, but not to burn in the sun, you need to know a few rules.

  • Choose the right time for tanning. Doctors recommend sunbathing before 12 o’clock in the afternoon and after 16 o’clock. But the time from 13 to 15 hours is the period when direct sunlight is most dangerous.
  • You need to sunbathe gradually. For the first time, you can only go out in the sun for half an hour, for a maximum of an hour. So the skin will tan gradually and prepare for the sun’s rays.
  • Be sure to use sunscreens and sprays, they need to be applied to the skin every two hours. Moreover, it is worth processing not only the body, but also the face. It is best to choose creams with at least 50 SPF protection.
