It has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of the bile ducts and sphincter of Oddi, enhances the secretion of bile and accelerates its excretion through the biliary tract.

This action reduces bile stagnation and associated symptoms, and also prevents the formation of cholesterol deposits and gallstones.

Usage

• Adults: 200–400 mg (1–2 tablets) half an hour before meals three times a day for a week.
