Heparin-ratiopharm 60000 IE, 100 g

Heparin-ratiopharm 60 000 is used to reduce effects such as swelling from contusions or other bruising blunt injuries to minimize acute swelling conditions. You can also use the ointment for superficial phlebitis that cannot be treated with compression.

Usage

For use without a bandage, apply the ointment evenly and thinly to the affected area two to three times a day. When using with a bandage, apply the ointment evenly and thickly. You can put on an additional elastic bandage. If intolerance reactions occur when the dressing is changed, please continue the compression without the heparin ointment.

Composition

Active substance: heparin sodium

100 grams of ointment contain 60,000 IU heparin sodium from the intestinal mucosa of pigs. The ointment also contains dexpanthenol, white vaseline, perfume oil, potassium sorbate (Ph. Eur.), hydrochloric acid, purified water and cetyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.), glycerol (mono/di/tri)-alkanoate (C12-C18), glycerol (mono /di)(palmitate/stearate)-sodium stearate (95:5).
