Talcid chewable tablets are used for:
- Gastric and duodenal ulcers, for symptomatic treatment to bind gastric acid
- Heartburn and acid-related stomach problems
Usage
Talcid chewable tablets are suitable for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. The chewable tablets are slowly sucked or chewed. It should not be taken at the same time as acidic beverages (e.g. fruit juices), as this can lead to an increased release of aluminum ions.
The maximum daily dose of 12 tablets (equivalent to 6000 mg hydrotalcite) must not be exceeded.
Composition
Active substance: hydrotalcite
1 chewable tablet contains 500 mg hydrotalcite as the active ingredient, corresponding to a neutralization capacity of at least 13 meq HCL.
The other ingredients are: mannitol, corn starch, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharin, flavorings.
