Relief of acute pain at the site of application. It is used for local symptomatic and short-term treatment of pain in acute strain, sprain or contusion of limbs after blunt force trauma, e.g. sports injuries, in adults and adolescents from 16 years of age.
Usage
Always use this product exactly as described in the package leaflet or as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are not sure.
Adults and adolescents over 16 years: the patch is applied to the painful area 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening. The maximum daily dose is 2 patches per day, even if more than one injured area needs to be treated. Therefore, only one painful area can be treated at a time.
Voltaren 140 mg patch is intended for short-term treatment. The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days. In the event that the condition does not improve or even worsens during the recommended duration of treatment, the patient should consult a doctor.
Voltaren should be used for as little time as possible to relieve symptoms. Method of usage: for cutaneous use only. The patch should only be applied to healthy and intact skin and should not be used during showering or bathing. The patch must not be cut. If necessary, the patch can be fixed with a mesh bandage. The patch must not be used together with the occlusive dressing.
Composition
The active substance is diclofenac sodium. Each patch contains 140 mg diclofenac sodium.
The other ingredients are:
- support layer: non-woven polyester film
- adhesive layer: basic butylated methacrylate copolymer adhesive acrylic copolymer 87-2852 macrogol-600-sorbitan-ole stearate
- cover layer: siliconised paper
Warnings
Voltaren 140 mg must not be used in children and adolescents under 16 years of age.
